AIP = log₁₀(Triglycerides / HDL)
Clinical Notes
AIP = log₁₀(TG/HDL) and is independent of the units used. Values below 0.11 indicate low risk of atherogenesis; 0.11 to 0.21 intermediate; above 0.21 high risk. Higher AIP reflects smaller, denser LDL particles and greater cardiovascular risk.
