HOMA-%B = (360 × Insulin) / (Glucose − 63)

Clinical Notes

HOMA-%B estimates basal beta-cell function using the formula 360 × insulin / (glucose − 63), with glucose in mg/dL and insulin in µU/mL. Healthy adults usually have HOMA-%B around 100%. Low values suggest impaired insulin secretion; the calculator requires fasting glucose above 63 mg/dL.
