Delta Gap = Measured AG − Normal AG

Clinical Notes

The delta gap expresses how much the measured anion gap exceeds the normal gap (conventionally 12 mEq/L). It is used together with the delta ratio to detect mixed acid-base disorders in high anion gap metabolic acidosis.
