Clinical Notes

The 2021 CKD-EPI creatinine equation estimates GFR from standardized serum creatinine, age and sex without a race coefficient (κ = 0.7 female / 0.9 male; α = −0.241 female / −0.302 male). Results are indexed to a body surface area of 1.73 m². CKD is staged by eGFR: G1 ≥ 90, G2 60-89, G3a 45-59, G3b 30-44, G4 15-29, G5 < 15 mL/min/1.73 m².
