Clinical Notes
FEUA is used to evaluate uric acid handling, for example in uric acid nephrolithiasis or tumor lysis syndrome. Reduced FEUA is associated with hyperuricemia and urate over-retention; the ratio must be interpreted together with serum uric acid and renal function.
